Marketing Communications Account Director

MossWarner is a Marketing Communications Agency based in Connecticut & California with an opening in our Trumbull office for a “hands on” Account Director to lead major engagements.

Day to day responsibilities include developing and executing external and internal communications campaigns that embrace all areas of customer, executive, and employee communications, as well as strategy development, nurturing client relationships and new business development.

The Account Director will support a variety of client communication needs related to enterprise wide change initiatives, employee engagement, values-based communications initiatives, internal branding, product, sales support, senior level executive messaging and B2B Marcom.



  • Minimum 4-year college degree
  • A minimum of 5-years of agency experience
  • Can work full-time in the Trumbull, CT office
  • Ability to travel 15-25%
  • Experience in managing agency client projects within these areas: Branding/messaging, digital marketing, meetings & events, Web, sales communications, video production, B2B marketing, corporate/internal communications.
    • Experience writing executive and customer presentations a plus
    • Lead and manage client engagements
    • Develop project strategies, plans and costing; manage projects against same and ensure project profitability
    • Manage multiple projects from conception to completion, by anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline and budget adherence
    • Supervise and collaborate with Project Managers and project team to ensure clear, timely and appropriate client communications and timely, high-quality deliverables
    • Attend/participate in any client interactions and follow through as appropriate
    • Own project results and ensure value for clients
    • Lead/attend internal project critiques/audits/etc.
    • Attains P&L targets through a combination of existing business contributions and new business development

Communications Consulting and Strategy

  • Develop and implement strategic communications programs
  • Develop deep and ongoing understanding of client’s business and client industries
  • Remain abreast of technology/trends, etc. and infuse same into projects and business development
  • Own project results and ensure value for clients

Develop New Business

  • Identify and pursue new projects with current clients
  • Develop and execute account plans and strategies
  • Identify and pursue new business/new client opportunities
  • Participate in new business/client activities and initiatives
  • Participate in company marketing activities
  • Consistently cultivate new business efforts through the ability to sell and service full suite of MossWarner capabilities

Manage Commercial Relationships with Clients

  • Ensure overall account profitability for assigned clients
  • Coordinate execution of Non-Disclosure Agreements, SOWs, and contracts
  • Ensure execution of client POs
  • Maintain and manage account retainers
  • Structure client engagements
